 Hosted by former firefighter Damien Speranza, "COMEDY FOR A CAUSE" is a nationally touring comedy show geared towards firefighters that raises money for worthy local causes.

 The FDNY Special Needs Group is a group of volunteers that provides support and information to families that have a member(s) with a physical, mental, or developmental disability. The group has meetings thru-out the year that give members an opportunity to discuss any issues they have encountered caring for their loved one with a disability. The meetings have a ‘firehouse kitchen’ feeling where members can be open about their struggles and ask for help. Asking for help or assistance is a challenge for those in the first responder community and it is balanced with providing help and support to others. Guest speakers are invited to speak on topics directly related to ‘special needs’ community. 

This is an incredible opportunity to support our brothers and sisters who care for a loved one with a disability.  Please come out and share a laugh while supporting the FDNY Special Needs Group.
