DISABLED VETERANS ARE NOW HONORED IN DC WITH A
NATIONAL MEMORIAL
so entitled:
AMERICAN VETERANS DISABLED FOR
LIFE MEMORIAL
It is located on a 2 acre site in view of the Capitol with inspiring quotes etched in glass and granite walls, a black granite reflecting pool and a star shaped fountain. At the star's center is a ceremonial flame, honoring all veterans-living and dead-who suffered disabling injuries.
It is now opened to the public.
It's a symbol of our nation's perseverance
on and off the Battlefield.
(Make sure you visit it when you are down in DC)

PTSD HELP
The Dept. of Veterans Affairs is internally testing a digital app, entitled PTSD Coach
It will help our Veterans deal with the effects of PTSD.

VALIANT FUND RAISING EFFORT GOING ON IN THE FDNY
TO HELP OUR DISABLED WOUNDED WARRIORS.
At our November Meeting (2013) Danny Prince
spoke to us all about the need for "Track" Wheelchairs
for our wounded veterans. These Track Chairs have the ability to climb stairs and do other tasks that a simple wheel- chair cannot. They are powered by a high torque motor and can cost upwards of $20,000.00
